Categories and prefix

Hello Rachitrali, Please note that it is forbidden to add categories from other tests to pages of a test. This means that it is not allowed to add a category which begins with Category:Wb/kh or Category:Wq/khw or Category:Ws/khw or Category:Wn/khw or Category:Wt/khw to pages and categories which start with Wp/khw. Different projects must have different categories. Also take notice that categories without a prefix aren't allowed either. Please take this in mind when you work with categories! Re: 500 most used messages complete translation

Dear Mr Rehmat Aziz Chitrali,

The complete localisation of the 500 most used messages into the Khowar language is indeed a brilliant effort. As you know, only the members of the Language Committee of the Wikimedia Foundation can make the decision for final approval of any Wikipedia Incubator project, which they base on certain criteria.

According to the Criteria for final approval, the Khowar Incubator Wikipedia must remain active until final approval. It is generally considered to be active if the analysis lists at least three active, not-grayed-out editors listed in the sections for the previous few months (see automated statistics). Note: At the moment, the automated statistics is currently experiencing a database problem, hence the data is not accurate until the admins have fixed the problem.

In the meantime, they are still able to tell whether an Incubator Wikipedia project is active or not on a regular basis by looking at the Recent Changes for Khowar Wikipedia. At this point in time (14 December 2012), I can see that for the past few days, there have been at least five other contributors to Khowar Test-Wikipedia of whom their native language is Khowar.

Therefore if you and the other contributors can maintain the current good momentum, then the proposal for the creation of Khowar Wikipedia would have a higher likelihood of being approved (for example Western Panjabi).

I'm very confused by the contents of this. Are you aware that the copied code was for enabling the SignWriting Keyboard on sign language projects, so that user's can type in SignWriting? Hi, Raki. I'm always glad to help you, as I hope you understand by now. That having been said, I'd just like you to quietly understand that (a) unlike on other wikis, people working on other projects here don't necessarily have the skills or language tools to help you, and (b) since you are pushing to have wp/khw approved, understand that it's important for you (or others working on this project) to learn how to fix some of these things yourself.

Honestly, I'm pretty unlikely to come to visit the future [[:khw:]]. I not only don't speak the language, but I don't even know the alphabet. So I have been trying to show you what I have been doing, so that when your project is approved, you can do it yourself. (Personally, I don't mind if you ping me here, or on enwiki or meta, if you really need me. But I think you understand what I'm trying to tell you.)

So ... on the page Wp/khw/قباء معژیت, I think you're trying to ask me to fix the table at the bottom, where you have a lot of unresolved template calls. And once again what it looks like to me is that the subtemplate is calling unprefixed flag templates. About to lift some blocks

Hi, Rachitrali. I just wanted to warn you that I am about to lift some indefinite blocks you placed on IP addresses for vandalism. As a rule we don't usually indef IP addresses, because they are usually dynamic and at a certain point belong to someone other than the abuser. The ones I'm about to lift have been blocked for over six months, and I think are safe to lift.

That said, I wanted to warn you, because it may open a door to people coming to your tests again for vandalism. If that happens, go ahead and block them right away. I wouldn't ever do an IP block longer than one year unless you have evidence that a given IP address has been used for vandalism (etc.) for more than a year. Applying for administrator status on the new Khowar Wikipedia

Good evening, sir:

Tomorrow I will extend your test-admin status for one year, because that is how we do things here. Unfortunately, we cannot automatically convert that to administrator status when khw.wikipedia.org is created; you'll have to reapply for the status. Let me give you some steps to follow in order to do that:

1. Create some kind of Request for Administrator page in your test. It should be in Wikipedia space, and it doesn't need to be complicated. en:WP:RfA is a very involved page. I:RFA is in the middle. jam:Wikipidia:Vuotin piej is very simple. Your version doesn't need to be complicated. That page will then be imported into the new wiki along with the rest of the project.
2. Once the new wiki is opened, open a request on that page to be an administrator. It must stay open for 7 days, and while you can inform people that an RfA is underway, you cannot ask them to support you.
3. After that discussion has been open for seven days, put a request into the stewards at Steward requests/permissions on Meta. As long as your discussion at khwwiki has been open for seven days they should approve you. Note that when projects are first starting out, administrator terms are temporary, not permanent. Often, for new projects the initial terms are 3–4 months, but I will see if I can get you 6–9 months.

Just one question: You redirected Wp/khw/Main Page to Wp/khw/صفحہ اول آزمائشی. But the root page Wp/khw shows the main page to be Wp/khw/آویلو صفحہ. Which one is right? (You should probably either delete the one you don't want, or—if you want to keep it available for some reason—rename it to the Khowar equivalent of "Wp/khw/Main Page/alternate version".) @Rachitrali: No, that's not possible, for two reasons. First, it would be complicated to do that even if we wanted to, which we don't. Second and more important, as long as this test is in the Incubator, we want to have the Welcoming Bot message appear, so that people know what resources are available in Incubator itself. (In other words, your contributors are not only contributors to Khowar Wikipedia but also to Incubator.) As far as I'm concerned, you can have a Khowar Bot go around afterwards and place your message underneath.

If you translate {{Welcome}} into Khowar (use page {{Welcome/khw}}), you can (a) substitute the Khowar version for the English version (manually, or using a Khowar Bot), and (b) even incorporate your Khowar Wikipedia message into the translation. Two suggestions

Firstly, I would like to inform you that I am interested in becoming a test admin but I don't have much experience related to Incubator. The content model of that page needs to be changed to Scribunto from plain text. Converting to Khowar

I have a small request. Please do not convert the word 'if' to 'اگر' in any of the templates. The problem for the issue in the article Wp/khw/بھارتی فلمی اداکاران لسٹ was conversion of one such in the template Template:Wp/khw/Div col. Please remember this while creating/converting templates.
