Wn/hi

Hi All, I want to apply for adminship on incubator Hindi Wikinews project. Currently this project is in incubator and probably there are no users to contribute on it. So to protect it from vandalism and to make it more active so that the project ultimately becomes a separate project I need adminship. I am already an admin on Hindi wikipedia so there should not be any doubt on my Hindi language skills and my adminship. My Hi wiki user page is here रोहित रावत 17:05, 17 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Currently there are no admins there. Also if I become admin I can install various tools which are needed to create articles in Hindi. An admin can delete pages, can rerename pages, can rename categories etc which a normal user can't. Okay there might not be any vandalism there but it is not gauranteed that there will beno vandalism. There is no vandalism because the incubator project was inactive from the last 3 years or so. Wp/mic

Good day, I would like to request test-adminship on the Wikipedia project in Mi'kmaq (mic). I'm already an administrator on the Wikipedia in Cree (cr) if you need to see some references and I'm mainly involved in the Wikipedia in French (fr). Mais la plupars des articles pouvent être supprimé à cause qu'ils sont juste un image avec le nom de l'article, et (pour l'article Wp/mic/Kaqtukewéj) "Kaqtukewéj (english: ant, french: fourmi)" Le "liste de participants" ne devrait pas exister de mon avis, et il y a pas la catégorie du wiki. Finalement, le wiki a juste 2 jours (pas à dire que la pluspars entre eux ont été créé aujourd'hui). P.S. Que le peuple des Mi'kmaq aidait les acadiens. Je suis acadien. Et pourquoi ne devrait-il pas y avoir de liste de participants ? Bien entendu, cela ne se retrouvera pas sur le Wiki une fois terminé, mais pour le moment il s'agit d'un projet et la liste des participants est très utile à la coordination. I honestly don't see a great problem here, as it's not important if a test has a lot of stub or not when discussing giving test-adminship. It is rather important if it would be useful for the requesting user and Incubator admins, as the user could then do housekeeping deletions etc. by him/herself. --MF-W {a, b} 23:36, 29 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm interested in reviving the Dutch Wikinews. A problem, apart from the lack of activity, are the copyright violations on this project, which already was a problem when nl.wikinews wasn't closed down yet. Being a test admin would make it easier and more efficient for me to clean this up. I also expect to use this test adminship to do general maintenance on wn/nl. I've finished deleting the copyright violations on Wn/nl. I don't think I will be spending much more time on this test project, because there aren't any other contributors, creating new content takes a lot of time compared to the Wikipedia and Wiktionary projects, and there's little motivation to try to revive the Dutch Wikinews. Although I am not a native speaker of Livonian (but speak the closely related Estonian as my mother tongue) I can read and write Livonian (and have access to printed resources on Livonian to aid me further should my inherent competence fail me). Also, I have a few years of experience as an admin from the Estonian-language version of Wikipedia.
