The abuse filter says to me:"invalidcode" but the Yandang have a code, and this code is yan— The preceding unsigned comment was added by 197.61.9.13 (discussion • contribs) --Syunsyunminmin (talk) 05:00, 9 January 2023 (UTC).
- Not an admin, but I'm not sure which one language are you asking for? Yandang refers to Yendang language (iso639-3:ynq), not iso639-3:yan which is a dialect of Sumo, both are from distinct language families. Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 03:17, 22 January 2023 (UTC)
Request for page-moving w/o rd
Could I have the ability to move pages without leaving a redirect? Some pages in the Dargin project mix Latin and Cyrillic (primarily using the Latin vowel I for palochka), and should be cleaned up before it goes live.
Also, I tried JS Wiki Browser here, but it just spins w/o doing anything. Do I need special permission? It doesn't say I do, as it would on other sites. Kwamikagami (talk) 22:37, 21 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Kwamikagami Hi, Test-administrators are allowed to move a page without leaving redirect within their test project. You can request for it if the requirements are met. Ninja✮Strikers «☎» 13:24, 4 February 2023 (UTC)
Wp/lut/Common.css
Hello, I want to change the font-family for headers in Wp/lut because it is causing display issues with the default font.
I put code that I think will do that in MediaWiki_talk:Wp/lut/Common.css. Could someone take a look and create MediaWiki:Wp/lut/Common.css?
You can see an example of the display issues in the headers for the sləx̌il and q̓il̕bid pages. AdJHu • 胡安祝 22:48, 21 January 2023 (UTC)
- @AdJHu: I'm not sure if it prints out the way you want. Would you like to check it? --Sotiale (talk) 12:51, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Sotiale: Thanks, that fixes the issues I saw with the “x wedge” and “glottalized l” characters. There’s probably a font that makes the kerning for the apostrophe in glottalized characters look better but I’ll look into that in the future. AdJHu • 胡安祝 13:50, 23 January 2023 (UTC)

Unable to create Wp/cnr/ page
Hello! I want to add some more pages to Montenegrin Wikipedia, but I'm getting an error: "You are trying to create a page without a valid ISO 639-1 or -3 code. This code either is not valid or does not belong to a language accepted for new Wikimedia projects. If you came here from any other page, please return back and fix the link and then create the correctly named page. If by any chance this is blocking you from creating any page which you think has a valid ISO 639-1 or -3 code or belongs to an accepted language, please let administrators know."
Montenegrin language has valid ISO 639-3 code, check here or here. Also, there is already 1,968 articles with wp/cnr prefix.
Please, explain what is going on and how to enable adding pages to this Wiki. Thanks! Millodarka (talk) 22:05, 4 February 2023 (UTC)

About The 'juc' code
I tried to create Wp/juc with related subpages but the system doesn't allow me to do it. The code is for the en:juc language. Could somebody help please?Sdf (talk) 08:59, 17 February 2023 (UTC)
- Hi. Because juc is classified in ISO 639-3 code as an extinct language, editing on incubatorwiki is blocked. Since this was decided in June 2022, the juc pages created before that exist. --Sotiale (talk) 10:30, 17 February 2023 (UTC)
- And Wp/zkt is as well? Sdf (talk) 11:13, 17 February 2023 (UTC)
- Since zkt is currently classified as a historical language, it is blocked for another reason. Under the current LPP, historical and extinct languages at least cannot have Wikipedia. --Sotiale (talk) 12:17, 17 February 2023 (UTC)

Please enable adding new pages to Montenegrin Wikipedia
Hi there, me again.
There was no reply on this one https://incubator.wikimedia.org/wiki/Incubator:Administrators%27_noticeboard#Unable_to_create_Wp/cnr/_page, so I posted the same question on a few different places (here and here).
I got answer on Phabricator and it pointed me back on Administrators' noticeboard.
So, please can you change the filter as suggested? Or, if the Syunsyunminmin is not right about the solution for this problem, explain what is happening and how to fix it.
Thanks! Millodarka (talk)
- I think "cnr" meets Language_proposal_policy.
- Wp/cnr doesn't have a wiki yet. (Special:SiteMatrix)
- cnr is a valid ISO code[1].
- cnr is Individual, not Macrolanguage.
- The filter is preventing it.
- Are there any policies that I don't know about? Syunsyunminmin (talk) 13:31, 21 February 2023 (UTC)
It's disallowed because Montenegrin is not recognized as an eligible language. A 5th request (after 4 rejections already) is open but unlikely to be accepted. --MF-W {a, b} 22:14, 21 February 2023 (UTC)
- So, are you saying Montenegrin Wiki can't be developed any further in the incubator? Millodarka (talk) 22:37, 21 February 2023 (UTC)
- Hi @MF-Warburg!
- Hope you can be a bit more elaborate and precise in your reply...
- How and where you see exactly *(reference missing) it is not recognized as an eligible language?
- Where do you see (non) likeliness being *(an official) feature and process stopper?
- Thank you very much!

The handling of Wp/izh
Good evening. I've been trying to edit the Ingrian Wikipedia test in the last few days, and I've noticed a lot of systematic errors present in most pages - grammatical mistakes, usage of Finnish borrowings where a native term already exists, stub entries with nothing but "X is a letter" etc. Now, I would be more than willing to help out (as witnessed by my recent contributions), but the sheer amount of pages to fix (683!), and considering the fact that even on the main page there are some very basic grammatical errors (Wikipedias instead of Wikipediaas, terve instead of tere), and that the article about Ingrian itself is a copy-paste of a grammar book, makes this a nearly insurmountable task.
I'm not sure what the best course of action would be here. Should we start again? Should we try to fix it all? Neither seem ideal. From what I can see, I'm the only somewhat active editor at the moment. Is there any precedent for handling these situations?
Thanks in advance. Thadh (talk) 19:21, 12 March 2023 (UTC)
- @Thadh: Sorry about that! Most of the top contributor (in terms of number of edits) to the Ingrian Wikipedia are so-called "language hijackers" (people who claim to know a language but really don't) that are now either permanently blocked or inactive. There is a change they may actually all be sockpuppets of the same person. It seems like a huge mess, to be honest.
- I have a proposal for you that is sort of mid-way between fixing everything and deleting everything: We make a (temporary) template called
{{Wp/izh/Keep}}
, and you can add that template to pages that should be kept. Once you think it is ready, we can delete everything that is not marked by that template. - This proposal will require a bit of manual work on your part (since you're the one who knows the language), but I think it could be done rather quickly. What do you think, does that sound like a possible solution? An alternative would be to mark stuff that should be deleted with
{{delete}}
, but given the ratio of pages that should be kept vs. pages to be deleted, I think it would be easier to mark the ones that should be kept. Jon Harald Søby (talk) 02:27, 13 March 2023 (UTC)- @Jon Harald Søby: Yes, that sounds like a great solution, thank you! Thadh (talk) 07:33, 13 March 2023 (UTC)

Wrong in Main Balochi Language(bal) writing articlr
I tries to wrote article in Balochi wikipedia incubator but i cant to publish article because its forbidden i think, I request to Incubator administrators to accept writing in Balochi wikipedia(bal)
Our team is trying to developement of Balochi language in web and wikipedia is in our programs. Moshtank (talk) 06:14, 27 July 2023 (UTC)
- This is because bal is defined as a macrolanguage. See Wp/bal for the languages contained in it. --MF-W {a, b} 09:30, 27 July 2023 (UTC)
- Balochi is not a macrolanguage i as a Baloch and with native Balochi language and i a researcher of Balochi language know that Balochi is not a macrolanguage and we for writing just use one Balochi not three macrolanguages
- Its our langugae and its our rights that write and reads in Balochi language, but you that dont know a little things about our langugae saying us about our language?

- @Moshtank Balochi is not a macrolanguage? Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 01:41, 5 September 2023 (UTC)
- @Liuxinyu970226 Yes, is not.
- Moshtank (talk) 04:59, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
- @Moshtank Then it's a matter at SIL depart, you'll need to submit a request to deprecate member language codes and design Balochi (bal) as an Individual code. Otherwise, there's probably nothing Incubator can do. Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 05:04, 6 September 2023 (UTC)

- @Liuxinyu970226, @Xaosflux,
- I have contact with SIL registrars they told me we can use bal as an inclusive ISO639-3 code for Main Balochi
- This is their Email text to us;
- 《Dear Mr. Kohgardi,
- The identifier [bal] is a 639-3 code inclusive of the three other Balochi languages. Have you tried to use it?
- There is no option to create this, as it already exists, so there is nothing further I can do for you.
- Kind regards,
- Janell Nordmoe》
- Moshtank (talk) 04:31, 7 October 2023 (UTC)
- @Liuxinyu970226, @Xaosflux,
- and in other email in a paragraph they told us;
- 《There is already a code for Balochi macrolanguage, Baluchi [bal]. So we do not need to create one. It is a 639-3 code, as well as 639-2, and it includes the three other Baluchi languages. So, if you are referring to writing or literature for all three languages, please use [bal].》
- Now here you saying us you cant to allow to use [bal]

- Sorry if you were you offended by me.
- My Bro or Sis
- Balochi is our language and i as a Balochi writer preffered [bal] ( inclusive code of Main Balochi ) you must to merge [bcc] to [bal] not [bal] to [bcc]
- If you can merge do it and move contents from [bcc] to [bal]
- thanks!
- Moshtank (talk) 03:57, 9 October 2023 (UTC)
- @Moshtank Let me tell you that why "you must to merge [bcc] to [bal] not [bal] to [bcc]" isn't possible (at least, without several efforts on changing MediaWiki source codes themselves): the Eastern Balochi Wikipedia test shown why to you, because many of their contests use Latin scripts (or Roman, if you'd love to say) instead of Arabic scripts. (PS: Looks like there's now a discussion on langcom mailing list [3] about nearly all of what you asked everywhere.) Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 07:04, 17 October 2023 (UTC)
- Ofcourse [bcc] is just a dialect of [bal]
- We creating articles in [bal] for [bcc] because @Amire80 tells me use [bcc] till langcom accept [bal] as an supporting language and again translates and articles can to move to [bal]
- I told all of Balochi dialects just different in speakings and voices and all of Balochi writers using Main Balochi as a complette language.
- So you must move or copy articles from [bcc] to [bal]
- And its true some Balochi writers in web using Roman Scrip that we can use [bal-latn] for that and i request [bal-latn] on Translate project

- Moshtank (talk) 05:05, 23 August 2023 (UTC)
- @Liuxinyu970226 thats true i has contacting with them!
- Thanks!
- Moshtank (talk) 05:11, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
- @Liuxinyu970226 Until SIL accept our request we will work on bcc
- If you can please help us and fix Wp/bcc/بیتکوین issues.
- Moshtank (talk) 05:13, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
- @Liuxinyu970226, @Xaosflux,
- I have contact with SIL registrars they told me we can use bal as an inclusive ISO639-3 code for Main Balochi
- This is their Email text to us;
- 《Dear Mr. Kohgardi,
- The identifier [bal] is a 639-3 code inclusive of the three other Balochi languages. Have you tried to use it?
- There is no option to create this, as it already exists, so there is nothing further I can do for you.
- Kind regards,
- Janell Nordmoe》
- Moshtank (talk) 04:31, 7 October 2023 (UTC)
- @Liuxinyu970226, @Xaosflux,
- and in other email in a paragraph they told us;
- 《There is already a code for Balochi macrolanguage, Baluchi [bal]. So we do not need to create one. It is a 639-3 code, as well as 639-2, and it includes the three other Baluchi languages. So, if you are referring to writing or literature for all three languages, please use [bal].》
- Now here you saying us you cant to allow to use [bal]
- Moshtank (talk) 04:37, 7 October 2023 (UTC)

SIL issues shall be handled on SIL department, not this website.
(PS: Looks like there's now a discussion on langcom mailing list [4] about nearly all of what you asked everywhere.) Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 07:04, 17 October 2023 (UTC)

I am about to create a test wiki for Kawi or Old Javanese Wikipedia, but unfortunately the ISO 639-3 for Kawi language which is "kaw" does not detected by the system. This project is tend to reuse and revive the liturgical language of Kawi on Wikipeda.

Explanation for page deletions
Hello. I'm the person who put a bunch of pages for deletion on Wp/izh, Wp/vot and Wp/lud respectively. As made clear by the above thread, I'm trying to fix the mess that was left a few years ago on these wikis, in which a former partner and I caused the wikis to be filled with inaccurate language, because neither of us actually knew the languages correctly. And to make things worse, a lot of the pages were copied and (badly) converted to Cyrillic at Wp/vot. I obviously regret this hugely, and thus I wanted to try and clean up some of the mess. However, I've also done the mistake of not logging in, causing the deletions to be questioned. Could you please go forward with the deletions? And yes, there are a LOT of pages, the mess left was that bad.
Thank you very much! Do not interact (talk) 09:28, 24 November 2023 (UTC)
- Don't worry, we will get around to deleting them, it just takes a bit of time. And thanks again for helping to cleanup. --MF-W {a, b} 15:03, 24 November 2023 (UTC)

- In addition to what Syunsyunminmin said, this user seems using a duck-puppet account User:MO.SH.ST.BE at I:RFD, so I doubt if I'm still able to discuss this matter peacefully. --Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 06:47, 23 December 2023 (UTC)

- Classical Japanese is still used in literature, including haiku, so it is not an extinct language. MO.SH.ST.SB (talk) 00:53, 21 December 2023 (UTC)
Deletion requests at I:RFD
Hello, this is User:Gameoverbits speaking. I can't access this account currently, so I'm writing this out of account. Anyway, I have put the test wikis Wp/vot and Wt/vot up for deletion, due to these wikis being mostly built by non-proficient speakers and there really being no other way out due to the extremely low numbers of proficient speakers (21 natives, possibly all elderly). Wt/vot also has all of its pages currently deleted, so there's really no reason in keeping it. It's been some time without any response, so please get to it as quickly as possible. Thank you very much. 84.231.210.199 06:01, 15 December 2023 (UTC)
- Are you the same guy who claimed having contributed without language knowledge in the past, and who keeps losing access to the accounts he uses for the deletion requests? --MF-W {a, b} 18:43, 15 December 2023 (UTC)
- Is this somehow relevant to the discussion? The reason why I'm making this request is because it seems like no proficient speaker seems to have ever contributed to these tests (like shown here) and that it doesn't seem good to keep things the way they are due to this. Of course, I can't know everything for sure, but this is simply how it seems like at the moment. And I'm by no means doing this just for fun, I just simply don't see any better options. This situation worries me quite a bit, and I want to do something about it. 2001:999:2E2:583:88C6:EA3B:A402:58C0 19:50, 15 December 2023 (UTC)
- I think it is relevant to know why new accounts that are interested in these projects keep popping up (and keep losing their access to return as IPs) and are so insistent that everything needs to be deleted now, immediately, when the projects have been sitting untouched for years. --MF-W {a, b} 00:27, 16 December 2023 (UTC)
- Then yes, this person is me. I simply don't want to have five different accounts lying around, and I think my past with the project gives me a good reasoning as to why I'm so worried about all of this. However, I did not lose this one account on purpose, and I want to retrieve it. Please also understand that none of this account stuff was done with any malice, I'm just extremely stupid, and it was 100% a mistake having all those accounts. Currently, I do not want or need to use any more than just one. I also understand that this might make my requests less believable. It was, again, 100% a mistake to do all of this, and at this point I honestly don't care if I get permanently banned for it, I don't really like being here anyway. Just please take these proposals seriously. 84.231.210.199 03:48, 16 December 2023 (UTC)
- Do you even regret causing this many problems for other people, for lying even when faced with proof of what you were up to, and repeatedly trying to cover your tracks by using sockpuppets? Your responses in this thread so far just seem to be about you don't want your name tied to the mess you've created. And while we can clean up the mess you and your friend(s) have made on the incubator, there is still the matter of all the other garbage you've added to other Wikimedia projects. I hope you're planning on getting that stuff nuked too. A big thanks to the other person on here who has asked for deletion requests; they seem to be genuinely sorry for what they did and take responsibility for it, for which I thank them. - Yupik (talk) 02:27, 23 December 2023 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, are you talking about User:Do not interact or User:Palmtree222, or possibly someone else? I'm the former, not the latter, and my personal "account business" only has to do with the deletion requests, and I don't personally recall any of the stuff you said, I think we might have a misunderstanding here. I do not know who you are and what this drama is all about, I was not present when any of this might've unfolded.2001:14BB:692:ABDE:5CAD:7F9E:F46A:41E6 12:45, 23 December 2023 (UTC)

Why isn’t)t it letting me make lipid open at Toki Pona?
I want free knowledge accesible to (almost) any language, why isn’t Toki Pona accepted? Abrown1019 (Talk/Edits) 23:28, 16 December 2023 (UTC)
- FYI, this is a constructed language, and a Meta-Wiki request submitted for two years: m:Requests for new languages/Wikipedia Toki Pona 2. Can someone tell us that whether langcom is discussing its eligibility or not? Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 06:02, 18 December 2023 (UTC)
