Hello. Approval will be finally decided by the language committee. In my opinion, it will be possible to review approval status when 3 or more editors continue to edit at least 2 months from now. Hi! All the pages we have now are created by previous editors or some other users. Our community only started to join editing in the incubator early this year. And we now focus on developing the quality of the created articles that we tend to write more than 300 words and to add some pictures in each article. How we will see unregistered users

Hi!

You get this message because you are an admin on a Wikimedia wiki.

When someone edits a Wikimedia wiki without being logged in today, we show their IP address. As you may already know, we will not be able to do this in the future. This is a decision by the Wikimedia Foundation Legal department, because norms and regulations for privacy online have changed.

Instead of the IP we will show a masked identity. You as an admin will still be able to access the IP. There will also be a new user right for those who need to see the full IPs of unregistered users to fight vandalism, harassment and spam without being admins. Patrollers will also see part of the IP even without this user right. We are also working on better tools to help.

If you have not seen it before, you can read more on Meta. If you want to make sure you don’t miss technical changes on the Wikimedia wikis, you can subscribe to the weekly technical newsletter.

We have two suggested ways this identity could work. We would appreciate your feedback on which way you think would work best for you and your wiki, now and in the future. You can let us know on the talk page. You can write in your language. The suggestions were posted in October and we will decide after 17 January.

Font on Lushootseed Test Wiki

moving pages

hello @Sotiale-san as you know i am a test-wiki admin but i cannot move more than 3 pages on a short amount of time and my action would be throttled, as a test-wiki admin i think i know what i am doing so why i am filtered like this even with test admin status? Hi. TAs are subject to the same rate limits as regular users. I don't know how fast you tried to page move, but in general you probably won't get throttled much. It doesn't appear to be caught in the abuse filter, but if you need a bulk move, posting your request to the AN could be a way. --Sotiale (talk) 11:23, 14 February 2023 (UTC)

As said, this is not a filter problem, it is a technical limitation to prevent abuse in MediaWiki. Since the page move function has a different effect than normal vandalism when abused, numerous page moves are prevented from occurring in a short time. Ghanaian Pidgin Wikipedia

Hello @Sotiale I am the creator of the Ghanaian Pidgin Wikipedia in the Incubator. When we add references in articles, it appears in the bare urls. Please is there a way it can be fixed so that the references appear as those on the English Wikipedia? Also, how can we officially submit a request to gain our own Wiki? Thanks for the help. According to this edit, importing of the Pa'O Wiktionary is "not yet finished". Is that actually correct? It looks like maybe importing was completed on the 16th — at least to the point where the wiki can be announced as being "open for editing". Hi. If importing is in progress or there is a reason to block editing, I would have already informed users who edit. It's probably you, but I accept someone's opinion and don't block editing once my primary import is finished. Nevermind. I've made the announcement. For future reference, the sign I typically go by that a new wiki is open for editing is when the "do not start editing this wiki" default Main Page is replaced by the imported version. If that is not when a "primary import is finished" in your view, then please clarify further. Otherwise, I think we're done here. (I assume you will be updating Incubator:Site creation log#2023 when you consider the importing to be completely finished.) - dcljr (talk) 01:54, 21 August 2023 (UTC)
