Request at Meta-Wiki or not?

[edit source]

I saw that you're contributing Norwegian Wikivoyage, but it hasn't request page, would you please file a request at Meta-Wiki (just click create button on Wy/no)? --Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 12:23, 11 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Liuxinyu970226: Pardon, but I would say that I Oppose your idea to create no.wikivoyage.org, because the two commonly-seen Norwegian dialects, Bokmål and Nynorsk, are having barely lack of interoperability, we can't simply judge and guarantee that which orthography this test is using, so I strongly request you to re-split this Wikivoyage before a request is submitted. Best regards. --60.26.9.239 06:23, 1 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
60.26.9.239, don't you know that that decision is made by @StevenJ81:? --Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 22:43, 10 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Norwegian Wikivoyage

[edit source]

Hi WikiJunkie,

I have submitted a request for Norwegian Wikivoyage at Meta-Wiki. I am notifying you because you have contributed to this project in the past. Are you still interested in this project? DraconicDark (talk) 00:03, 30 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Further question from Incubator sysop

[edit source]

@ויקיג'אנקי: I'm pretty confused about something, WikiJunkie:

  • You're an administrator on Hebrew Wikivoyage, so supposedly you're experienced and know the rules. Yet ...
  • You've edited under two different account names here, but your disclosure of that is at best shaky. (There's a link from your Hebrew-alphabet user page here to your Latin-alphabet hewiki user page, but no link from your Latin-alphabet user page here to anywhere. Most of the edits here are from the Latin-alphabet account, and most people here don't read Hebrew. So this isn't very transparent to most people here. Happens I read Hebrew.) And...
  • According to participants at the Meta discussion linked above, what you've provided is not really Norwegian. It's some jumbled mix of stuff, some of which has some Norwegian. And...
  • If you've copied content from Hebrew (or any other) Wikivoyage and translated it, you haven't provided any attribution, which violates copyright rules under CC-BY-SA 3.0.

So to ask a simple question: What were you thinking? What's the point here? StevenJ81 (talk) 16:28, 11 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
