Your tags for deletion

[edit source]

Your tags for deletion of the Santali articles written in the Latin script are invalid because the Santali language is written in the following 5 writing systems:

  • Bengali script (used by Santali speakers in Bangladesh)
  • Devanagari script (used by Santali speakers in Nepal)
  • Latin script (used by Santali speakers in Bangladesh)
  • Oriya script (used by Santali speakers in Orissa)
  • Ol Chiki script

Just because the Ol Chiki script may be 'official' in India, it does not mean that the rest of the writing systems cannot be used by other Santali speakers when writing articles on Wikimedia Incubator. The Ol Chiki script is a relatively recent invention and many Santali texts & manuscripts exist in the other writing systems mentioned above.

I will therefore revert your tags for deletion. --Philip J (talk) 22:40, 23 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for adding the navigation bar. It contains the both Santali/Roman/Latin and the Ol chiki. It would be a common platform for all the Santali Scripts. --Samar88 (talk).

42.62.253.33

[edit source]

Hi! :) Is it safe to assume that all the pages added by user 42.62.253.33 have no contents? If you would like these pages deleted, I can do that by a single click. --OWTB (talk) 09:55, 15 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Dear OWTB, Please proceed for the deletion of the pages created by user 42.62.253.33 . These are totally nothing. Thanks for your help. Manik Soren (talk) 12:10, 15 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Alright. The pages have been deleted now :) --OWTB (talk) 10:27, 16 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

sat.wikipedia.org created

[edit source]

Hi, sat: has been created and I imported all pages from Wp/sat to there. Please inform me if anything is missing or wrong, so that I can fix it. Otherwise, best of luck with the new wiki! --MF-W {a, b} 12:27, 6 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Dear MF-W, I found there are so many numbers of articles are yet to be imported from the wp/sat incubator. Please see the wp/sat root category (https://incubator.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Category:Wp/sat&pagefrom=Wp%2Fsat%2F%E1%B1%A1%E1%B1%9F%E1%B1%B9%E1%B1%B2%E1%B1%A4#mw-pages) in incubator and after this " Wp/sat/ᱥᱚᱢᱵᱤᱫᱷᱟᱱ " rest articles are not imported. Therefore I am requesting you to import them to newly created Santali Wikipedia. With thanks Manik Soren (talk) 07:12, 14 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Can you give me a list of the missing articles? You can put it for example on User:MF-Warburg/todel. That is the easiest for me since I don't have the font to actually distinguish between the characters. --MF-W {a, b} 10:09, 14 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Small Translation Request

[edit source]

Hello, I understand you speak Satali language. I was hoping you could translate "a village in China" and "a village in Indonesia", as in ". its for Wikidata. Thank you so much. 108.35.99.100 17:49, 8 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Dear 108.35.99.100 "a village in China" in Santali it is: "ᱪᱤᱱ ᱨᱮ ᱢᱤᱫᱴᱮᱱ ᱟᱛᱚ" and "a village in Indonesia" in Santali it is: "ᱤᱱᱫᱳᱱᱮᱥᱤᱭᱟ ᱨᱮ ᱢᱤᱫᱴᱮᱱ ᱟᱛᱚ" . I hope it will be helpful. Thanks Manik Soren (talk) 06:09, 9 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
