Why should this template not be substed?[edit source]
Why should this template not be substed? In de.wp, for example, people are told to subst it because new users could be confused when they just see {{welcome}} on their talk page's source code:
"Durch die Substitution wirken auch Begrüßungsvorlagen nicht so maschinell. Substituierte Vorlagen [...] verwirren Newbies weniger als durch eine direkte Einbindung." – "The substitution also makes the welcome templates not looking so automatically. Newbies are less confused by substituted templates than by direct inclusion"

- The reason whas that they otherwise get a long list of all translations of "welcome". But we can add another template like "Template:Welcome translations" to this template so we can subst this template. SPQRobin 15:49, 29 November 2007 (UTC)

Template:Welcome/haw[edit source]
Im trying to create a Hawaiian version of the template but it wont let me create it. It always says error because it needs a prefix but I dont need to prefix it... it is not part of any wikis in Hawaiian but apart of incubator itself. Any suggestions?

- @Kolonahe: You may translate the template on User:Kolonahe/Template:Welcome/haw. When you are finished, ask an administrator to move the translated version to Template:Welcome/haw. - Yes, I think so. It would enable translation without admin intervention at the very least. (The one-liners from
