동남아시아(Southeast Asia)는 연관이 있는 여러 나라가 모여 있는 곳이다. 인도와 중국 사이에서 압박들 받았다. 오랫동안 세계 무역의 중계지 역활을 해 왔다. 해변과 맛있는 음식, 저렴한 물가와 무공해로 유명하다.

미얀마(버마) Ancient country with a history that includes both ruling its own Empire and being part of the British Empire. Until recently rather isolated under a military dictatorship and now undergoing political changes and opening up to tourism.

필리핀 Asia's sleeping tiger that has yet to achieve its full economic potential. A unique fusion of the Asian traditions of non-confrontation and respect for elders combined with Spanish ideas of machismo, romance and sophistication. The largest Christian nation in the region with over 7,000 islands — most with beautiful tropical beaches and flashing smiles

싱가포르 Clean and orderly island-city state. The most economically developed country in Southeast Asia.

타이(태국) The Land of Smiles with frenetic cities and chilled-out beaches, the most popular destination in the region. From the mountains in the north to the southern beaches; to the lights of Bangkok and Pattaya; Thailand has it all.

말레이시아, 페렌티안 섬의 남부 해변

동남아시아는 세계의 가장 유명한 여행지중의 하나이며 한가지 이유로는 열대성 기후와 부유한 문화, 그리고 우아한 해변, 놀라운 음식과 최저가는 아니지만 계속 저가라는 것이다. 한편 그 역사와 현대 정치는 복잡하며 그 대부분이 여행자들에게 매우 안전하며 여행다니기가 쉽다.

들어오기

동남아시아의 여행할만한 나라로는 말레이시아, 필리핀, 싱가포르, 타이등이 있으며 대부분의 방문잗르이 비자를 발급받을 핗요가 없다. 캄보디아, 라오스, 인도네시아와 동티모르는 대부분 입국시에 비자를 제공한다. 베트남과 미얀마는 대부분의 방문자들이 미리 서류를 준비할것을 요구한다.

항공편

동남아시아의 주요 관문은 방콕(타이)와 싱가포르 그리고 쿠알라룸프르(말레이시아)이다. 마닐라(필리핀) 역시 지역내에서는 상대적으로 우수한 특히 북미 노선을 제공한다. 홍콩도 동남아 지역으로 가는 저가 항공노선을 제공하여 도약대 역할을 한다.

열차편

동남아로 가는 유일한 기차길은 베트남과 중국 그리고 러시아, 유럽으로 연결되어 있다. 베트남과 다른 동남아 국가 간의 철로는 없다. 그러나 계획은 있는데 캄보디아와 미얀마가 기존의 타이-말레이시아 철로 네트워크와 연결하려는 것이다.

선박편

동남아시아는 세계를 순회 일주하는 선박여행의 인기있는 여행지이다. 그들 대부분이 동남아에서 소풍을 하기위해서 정박한다. 유명한 항구는 싱가포르, 랑카위, 페낭, 티오만,레당, 푸켓과 고 사무이가 있다.
