Correct language code for Wikipedia test Marwari[edit source]

Hi. As it turns out, one of the members of the Language Committee is giving me a hard time about marking Marwari Wikipedia as "eligible". It's not because he thinks the language is not an appropriate one to use. It's because the language code being used—and the language in the test, by implication—is a macrolanguage, and he doesn't like tests in macrolanguages.

So here's a question for you. I see from this article that the main constituent language of this macrolanguage is also called Marwari, with language code rwr. Is all of the test content in this language? (Asked a different way, is any of the test content written in one of the other constituent languages named in that article?) What I'll probably end up doing is changing the language code of this test to rwr from mwr. But I'd like to make sure that I'm on solid ground before I do that.

Thanks for your help. StevenJ81 (talk) 17:04, 3 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@StevenJ81: All articles are written according to Marwari (India) rwr, so change them.--राजू जांगिड़ (talk) 08:54, 4 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@राजू जांगिड़: I will do that. Thank you.
Mechanically, what is going to happen is that I will move all the pages from Wp/mwr/... to Wp/rwr/... I will leave redirects in place for a while so that people can find things, and I will leave the redirects on the info page (Wp/mwr) and the main page (Wp/mwr/मुख पृष्ठ) more or less indefinitely. But your watchlist may end up being a little mangled for a while. I do apologize for that in advance. StevenJ81 (talk) 14:40, 4 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
...and for a variety of reasons I'm probably not going to do it until next week. StevenJ81 (talk) 15:16, 4 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Ok Thanks--राजू जांगिड़ (talk) 17:20, 4 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Also calling User:सदस्य: Now done.
Please note one other complication. The pages have all been moved, and all the categorization has been fixed (I think correctly, but please check me). The one thing that is hard to do automatically is to change the template calls from templates named Wp/mwr/... to templates named Wp/rwr/... Now, redirects have been left behind, and as long as they still exist, the templates will still work. But whenever you are editing a page for another reason, do update the template calls, too.
