@Katelem[edit source]

I like to help wiki incubator, at obolo to help me I use a translator a friend from Nigeria,The problem is that I can only talk to him once in a while so most of the pages come out small, but now I've learned I'll only edit when I have a lot to put on the page. Another thing I wanted to talk about was the page about Qatar, why didn't you leave the letter Q? Tyulif (talk) 10:40, 30 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Tyulif Your contribution is appreciated. You can continue to edit even if the content you're adding is small. We only prefer that you write on topics that are on the list of "1000 articles every Wikipedia should have." Some of the small towns in Europe and Asia that you write on, are not known here. So, many readers may not read them, and our current group of contributors do not have interest in expanding such articles that lack notoriety here. We are focusing right now on things that are relevant to our situation, and also on the 1000 articles required by Wikipedia. We will really appreciate if you can go with us in this direction, no matter how small the contribution.

On your question about Qatar, there is no 'Q' in Obolo language, and the recommendation by the regulating authority for this language is that names of countries should be written according to the Obolo orthography. The Obolo keyboard (at keyman.com/keyboards/obolo_chwerty) can really help you. If you're using it on Android or iOS, you will see clearly which letters are available in Obolo, and which ones are not.

Do not worry about the article name. Our contributors over here will rename it to suit the orthography if you miss it. Thank you. Katelem (talk) 08:32, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Katelem Hi,I looked in those 1000 articles you mentioned, and in the biographies it listed Louis XIV of France, I created the page then go there and check it out,Wp/ann/Luizo XIV ogwu Furans Tyulif (talk) 12:04, 2 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Katelem,Hi,so that's not Louis 16 it's Louis 14 Tyulif (talk) 13:45, 3 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Tyulif. Fixed. Thanks for your contributions. Katelem (talk) 14:30, 3 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Katelem,Should the letters "Q" and "X" never be used? Tyulif (talk) 20:07, 7 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

User interface language[edit source]

Hi!

Thank you for your contributions to the Obolo Wikipedia Incubator!

Obolo can now be used as the user interface language here. To enable this, do the following:

  • On a laptop or desktop computer: Click the language name (probably English) at the top of the page, next to your username. Find Obolo in the panel and click it.
  • On a mobile phone: Go to Wp/ann and click "Set Obolo as your user interface language".

Onirọ enenen. (Thanks you very much). I've just started using it as my user interface language. This encourages me to do more. Katelem (talk) 14:29, 23 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Tyulif[edit source]

Hello! I am in the process of deleting all articles created by the user "Tyulif" ("contributions") because they clearly don't know the languages they are contributing to. There are many articles they have created in the Obolo test Wikipedia, and I see that you have edited some of them. The ones you have edited I will leave alone, but the ones only Tyulif has edited, I will delete.

If you think there are any pages that I'm deleting that shouldn't have been deleted (see deletion log and search for "Wp/ann"), please let me know, and I can restore them. Jon Harald Søby (talk) 01:08, 11 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I see you have already deleted them. Ok. Also delete: Belidika,
Anọi, Andora, Bàreen, Foro, Helisinki, Iroyito, and Kọrisi. Thanks. Katelem (talk) 21:44, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Countries[edit source]

Hi, I have created a template for countries, which you can see here. --Caro de Segeda (talk) 15:34, 10 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It's nice. I'll ask for a few improvement: (1) Add national anthem to the template. (2) Enable to show labels under the images eg. "Egop", "Ogugo-ijọn̄", "Okwa ido", "Iman̄ ido." Our readers need to know what these things are called in their language. We have no other way of communicating these information because the images in Wikimedia are usually captioned and labelled in English language. (3) Remove the "native name" part because it's basically English, and we don't intend to be teaching English here. Leave it alone if it can be used for the name of the country in the country's native language. (4) Make the template to right-align by default like an infobox.
Thanks. Katelem (talk) 16:07, 10 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
