Yumaism and Thebaism
[edit source]Limbu people live in Eastern Nepal and India. Yumaism is one of the ancient Limbu religions. Yuma means grandmother so she is a female god. Limbu people also worship Theba or grandfather is called Thebaism. Now Limbu people are divided into two groups. One group of people follow Yumaism and another group follows Thebaism. Yumaism is influenced by Buddhism, Hinduism, and Christianity. Thebaism is mainly influenced by Hindu religion and culture.
