How should I make a converter for Ainu among Katakana, Latin and Cyrillic?

[edit source]

Such a converter seems to be necessary for Ainu Wikipedia. John Smith Ri (talk) 08:27, 9 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

I think so too but what kind of converter? Input helping tool will be really convenient for all three pattern. I hope to use it. but about displaying converter, making it may be difficult for these reasons. These are because that many Aynu documents are written by two notation.
First, In Aynu writing, sometimes, transliteration between kana and alphabets isn't just a transliteration because Aynu has some pronunciation rules such as enchainement (linking), dropout, and alternation. (ex1. English “I want ~.” in Aynu is « ku=kor rusuy. » 「クコㇿ ルスィ。」, but it changes into « ku=kon rusuy. » 「クコ ルスイ。」. ex2. English "to be something and after ~" in Aynu is « an hine » 「ア ヒネ」changes «anīne»「アニーネ」. Kana has big changed.) In this case, kana shows actual sound and Alphabets is used to show grammatical information. (Depending on the situation, both of them used to show actual sound or grammatical information. This case both letter has same role.)
Second, There are variation in notation. Each of them has proper purpose, so we should not unify them.
Latin and Cyrillic has exactly same role in Aynu, so converter between them may be really useful. (but also variation is exist) BrassSnail (talk) 13:02, 11 July 2023 (UTC) Underlined Is Added Piece.Reply

BrassSnail (talk) 13:40, 11 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
