Need help with Databox template (localisation)

Hi,

I'm trying to localise Databox for Sylheti language (syl). I can get the main item level in [syl] example usage

May you please have a look and help. we need to get Label syl from other items for the databox.

Here's a language that got it to work on Incubator,

for example,

https://incubator.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wp/sms/Nu%C3%B5rtts%C3%A4%C3%A4%CA%B9m%C7%A9i%C3%B5ll

So try copying the module source from there. You might want to hardcode lang = mw.language.new('syl') instead of all the options they have to set the language.

However, if I look at this data item from the example you provided,

https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q466221

and check one of the properties

https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Property:P2561

there's no translation for the label in syl. So, no matter what you do, it's not going to work unless the translation is in wikidata. ABreault (WMF) (talk) 17:19, 20 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
