Hello everyone. I was thinking, shouldn't we use Coptic calendar here at least for people/events connected with Egypt? It's the same way they do it in Persian Wikipedia as far as i know (they use Iranian Solar calendar though). --ⲡⲁⲣⲇⲁ (talk) 15:20, 17 February 2018 (UTC)

I also thought about that. It would be more traditional Coptic. On the other hand, I think the Western Christian calendar system is just to ubiquitous. The Arabic wikipedia doesn't use the Islamic calendar either. And even more importantly, Egyptians also use the Western calendar, the only exception are religious affairs.
