כֹּל בְּנֵי הָאָדָם נוֹלְדוּ בְּנֵי חוֹרִין וְשָׁרִים בְּעֶרְכָּם וּבִזְכַיּוֹתֵיהֶם. כָּלָם חוֹנְנוּ בַּתְּבוּנָה וּבְמַצְפּוּן, לְפִיכָךְ חוֹבָה עֲלֵיהֶם לִנְהוֹג אִישׁ בְּרֵעֵהוּ בְּרוּחַ שֶׁל אַחֲוָה.

כל בני האדם נולדו בני חורין ושווים בערכם ובזכיותיהם. כולם חוננו בתבונה ובמצפון, לפיכך חובה עליהם לנהג איש ברעהו ברוח של אחוה.
