Neutral point of view of this article

[edit source]

Since the sources were removed on 2020-02-06, the text is not a neutral presentation of all valid encyclopedic sources. Should be rewritten on the basis of the en.wiki's article (omitting akin to a modern-day, eliminate any trace of the chapel's Byzantine design, and possibly including Novica Rakočević as a source).

That being said, Njegoš is defined a Montenegrin poet by these encyclopedic works:

  • Dalibor Brozović, »Crnogorci, II. Jezik«. In encyclopedic publication: Ivo Cecić, v. d. gl. ur., Enciklopedija Jugoslavije, 2. izd., 3. sv.: Crn – Đ, Jugoslavenski leksikografski zavod »Miroslav Krleža«, Zagreb, 1984, p. 58 – 61; quoted from p. 61
  • Josip Šentija, gl. ur., Opća enciklopedija Jugoslavenskog leksikografskog zavoda, III. izd., 6. sv.: Nih – Ras, Jugoslavenski leksikografski zavod, Zagreb, rukopis predan u tiskari u decembru 1979. (tiskanje dovršeno u julu 1980), p. 401 – 402

Some other lexicographic works portray Njegoš without naming particular literature in the first sentence:

  • Milan Selaković, Ivo Vrančić, Šime Balen, ur., Priručni leksikon: [A – Ž], III. prerađeno i prošireno izdanje, Nakladni zavod Znanje, Zagreb, 1967, p. 656

En.wiki's (current) article over-stressed about what "Wachtel suggests", and at the same time oversimplify the connection with Matija Ban (and the Yugoslav implications of that connection), which reduces the overall Njegoš's Yugoslavdom and Slavdom (Slavjanstvo).

Njegoš wrote about his native land in particular, customs of his native land, etc. His work cannot be reduced to some oversimplified narrative.

Branimir Anzulović wrote¹ about Njegoš in Anzulović's book titled: Heavenly Serbia: From Myth to Genocide, (cited at en.wiki as reference), yet that information is not used in the en.wiki's article (¹ Mit o Nebeskoj Srbiji: polazište osvajačkih ratova i zločina u 20. stoljeću, Večernji edicija, Večernji posebni proizvodi d. o. o., Zagreb, 2011, ISBN 978-953-7313-74-6, chiefly on p. 74 – 96). WP:DUE should be given. Hope this helps. My edits were only of a technical nature. -- Nesmir Kudilovič (razgovor) 17. maja 2020. u 3,43 (UTC)
