articles in different writing systems[edit source]

Hi @Sotiale, would it be okay if some articles in the incubator are written in Arabic script while some others are written in Latin script? This seems to be inevitable for us, since speakers of some sub-dialects of Levantine (such as the Cukurowa Arabic) use the latin alphabet more commonly when writing the language, while others use the Arabic script. Would such a dichotomy prevent the approval of the project? Eventually, we are anticipating to have an automatic script conversion system like some other Wikipedias. cc: @FunLater@A455bcd9 TheJoyfulTentmaker (talk) 04:53, 31 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

In general, it is not recommended to use two scripts simultaneously. There will probably be an official script for this language to assign code to, and that is recommended unless there are special circumstances. Assuming that the conditions for approval have actually been met, this can delay approval or be a factor that prevents approval before the discussion on the script is completed. --Sotiale (talk) 11:53, 31 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
