Is it possible to create Category:Incubator:Test wikis of indigenous languages of Russia? I can work with it. --Tamara Ustinova (talk) 07:48, 6 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Done.

Thank you very much! (Although I just asked about possibility for creation of this category. :-) ) Well, I'm adding now... --Tamara Ustinova (talk) 11:13, 6 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Can we please keep these categories simple and don't put too much detail work in it? --MF-W {a, b} 13:02, 10 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Well, not "by macro-geographical region or subregion‎" but simply "by region"? Or my variant of categorization is unwanted at all? --Midnight Gambler (talk) 13:11, 10 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I don't care much about that name (whether "macro-geographical region or subregion" or "region"). I just think we shouldn't put much effort into this. For example, the distinction between countries and regions is ok, but I would hate to see any edit wars about whether a language belongs to a region or country or not, or whether a certain country belongs to a region, etc.
Also I don't think it's necessary to put long-closed test wikis into these categories. People probably look for active ones here. --MF-W {a, b} 00:31, 12 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I'll remove closed tests.
I believe we should have consensus on difficult issues, if they occur frequently. Actually it's possible to manage without this categorization at all. The creation of thematic portals (e. g. Incubator:Portal:Test projects of languages and dialects of Germany / ...languages of Russia) may solve many special problems, if it's thought out well. Is it realistic to create portals here? instead of categorization by area in particular. --Midnight Gambler (talk) 14:24, 12 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
