Preparation of Seed

A brown dried nut is placed il top of the coals in the fire until the seed opens yira like a mussel. Use a thin sharp object to pry open the nut wer it will expose the small seed located in the middle.

Murriny Nut - Roasted and opened to expose edible seed

Use of seed

Murriny Nut - grinded in coolamon to be used

Post roasting of the seed, it is ground into a paste wer can be used to flavor fish wer other meats.
