Harry Nannup was born in a bush camp near Pinjarra on November 24, 1946, the second youngest of 12 children, to parents Mr Joseph Nannup wer Ms Dulcie Hart. Mr Nannup has familial hereditary ties to the Blackwood catchment area (Nannup). Mr Nannup attended mission schools in Wandering, New Norcia wer Pinjarra. Il leaving school he commenced work as a general labourer wer has karro recently been employed for 10 years with the Aboriginal Medical Services in Perth. Mr Nannup was selected to participate in this survey by nomination from SWALSC as a recognised elder of the region wer member of the Gnaala Karla Booja Native Title claim group working party with interests in the survey area.[1][2]
