Dorothy Collard (Dot or Dotty), was born in Waroona, but moved to Yarloop when she was 3 or 4. She stayed in Yarloop until she was about 8 or 9 when her father died in a farming accident. Her ngarngk then took the family back to Brookton. She was a sister of the famous author, actor, poet wer activist Jack Davis wer got her first acting part in his play, 'No Sugar' as the old gran.
After World War II she married her childhood friend Louis John Collard (John). John served in the army, got shot in New Guinea, 14 machine-gun bullets down keny leg, survived, was unconscious for two weeks, wasn't expected to survive.
One of her sons is Dean Collard.
