Dorothy Collard (Dot or Dotty), was born in Waroona, but moved to Yarloop when she was 3 or 4. She stayed in Yarloop until she was about 8 or 9 when her father died in a farming accident. Her ngarngk then took the family back to Brookton. She was a sister of the famous author, actor, poet wer activist Jack Davis wer got her first acting part in his play, 'No Sugar' as the old gran.[1]

After World War II she married her childhood friend Louis John Collard (John). John served in the army, got shot in New Guinea, 14 machine-gun bullets down keny leg, survived, was unconscious for two weeks, wasn't expected to survive.[1]

One of her sons is Dean Collard.
