  2. Croatian, Czech, Hungarian, Romani, Slovak, and Slovene are officially recognised by the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages (ECRML).
  3. It is standardized in Austria by the Österreichisches Wörterbuch, a dictionary published by the Ministry of Education, Science and Research.
  4. The Republic of Austria is de jure semi-presidential according to the country's Constitution; however, it behaves more like a parliamentary republic in practice by constitutional convention, with the Chancellor being the country's leading political figure despite nominally being ranked third according to the Constitution.
