MediaWiki interface for Araucanian[edit source]
Hi Lin linao. You have in the past done some Araucanian localisation of the interface of MediaWiki in Betawiki.
I am one of the administrators of Betawiki. I was wondering if you were willing to come back and work on the localisation of Araucanian again. From there we will add your translations to the source code of MediaWiki, so that anyone can benefit from your efforts (for example on Wikimedia Commons) and those installing MediaWiki outside Wikimedia projects.
Currently about 8% of the Araucanian core messages for MediaWiki are available. These efforts date from September 2007.
If you personally do not want to make the effort, for whichever reason, please do make an effort to try and find 2 or 3 other users that are willing to work on the generic translation for the MediaWiki interface on Betawiki. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Mari, Mari Lin, lo que hoy vengo a decirte es una buena noticia por lo menos para mi =) Resulta que, contando los articulos de la categoría arn resulta que son 39, un considerable numero en mi opinión... Lo que me hace sentirme orgullosa. Gracias por trasladarlo, ahora estaba buscando sinonimos de "Principal". Sobre Cuchru, pense que era otro alfabeto pero la gran mayoría de articulos estan en el alfabeto unificado (Es el unico que conosco) Y creí que debía pasarlo allí, si no sería confuso ¿No lo crees?. Bueno, ahora si, lo que paso fue que estaba yo en internet hace unos dos días y encontre un grupo de mapudungun en un sitio (Que ahora no mencionare por poca importancía) Y pregunte si alguno conocía hablantes nativos. Nadie me repondió y no le dí importancía. Hoy en la mañana me meto al sitio y resulta que tengo la respuesta de una persona de alto conocimiento mapudungun diciendome que el es hablante nativo (De verdad, siempre hablaba mapudungun y tiene gran conocimiento) Le mande un mensaje para ver si esta interesado hace una hora y no ah respodido. - A mi me da igual la ortografía. Yo lo que hago es coger una frase, pegarla y cambiar el nombre de la ciudad y los datos, pero la frase está en la variante ortográfica que me hayan dado. Yo creo que se debería utilizar el unificado, auqnue no sé mucho de eso. --Chabi 13:06, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
Hi, I am very glad that you have contributed to the webpages, your knowledge of mapuzugun/mapuzungun is greater than mine. I am wondering how you think we should solve the problem of having two alphabets. I don't know much mapuzugun/mapudungun and when I learn I decided to focus on raguileo. I am very happy to help make a wiktionary in mapuzugun/mapudungun but I think it is confusing to have two alphabets in the same system unless we make it clear when we use each. What I am suggesting is either to have two different wiktionary (maybe not possible) or that we show in every entry which alphabet is used. For example: User:Edelstam/Sandbox

- I don't find it hard to understand your english but if you want to write in spanish that is ok too, I understand more spanish than I can write. How would it work to have a transliteration button, is there maybe an example of somewhere where it is used? I don't know what to do about the spelling problem... do you know if something has happened with a "Academia de la lengua mapuche"? I read that CONDI have made a Academía but that it is in azümchefe so it is not good for mapuche communities. Leí que existen Wikipedias con un sistema automático de transliteración, creo que eran una en una lengua eslava con alfabeto latino y cirílico y otra en una lengua china que emplea alfabeto latino y hanzi. Tendré que averiguar si es verdad y cómo ha funcionado. No sé qué ha pasado con esa Academia, solamente sé que hubo protestas por la forma en que se constituyó. Saludos. - Because I am not very good at mapudungun yet I am thinking of adding words to the Wt/arn with just a few words and a picture so that it can be used as a picture dictionary. Lin, a que te refieres con sistema automático de traslasción? No logro entender... Para tener dos o mas alfabetos en cualers leer? Me imagino que seria un traslado para cambiar, por ejemplo, las ü a las v o algo por el estilo... -- Clerc 17:04, 21 March 2009 (UTC)

Se va a escojer solo el náhuatl central nhn[edit source]
Se ha estado discutiendo mucho sobre el tema y solo se ha escogido el náhuatl central por el número muy alto de hablantes y se desea tener solo dos wikipedias, uno en náhuatl clásico que ya existe y otra en náhuatl moderno estandarizado que correspondría al del centro del país. Mari mari, te escribo porque leí en los requerimientos de la wikipedia que para que salga la wikipedia mapuche debe haber al menos 3 personas contribuyendo con 10 ediciones por mes. ¿Podrías categorizar las páginas sobre colores -Az (kintun mew)- para ayudarnos a cubrir la cuota de editores? Gracias estimado, intentaré colaborar con lo requerido mensualmente y algo más ;-) Sería bueo que crearan categorías relativamente generales para poder continuar ordenando. Por ejemplo, como ya existía Category:Wp/arn/Pvrofinsia Concepción, pude crear asimismo varias otras presentes en como Category:Wp/arn/Chile, siguiendo los nombres correspondientes de los artículos. Lo mismo podría hacerse para las regiones, por ejemplo. Además, siguiendo el boceto de Wp/arn/Concepción, se podrían crear muchos artículos de manera semejante. Salutes!
