The costal redwood is a species of redwood that lives in the coast of California and can get absolutely enormous like Hyperion that is 379.1 feet wait wait wait dam wait wait this Hyperion tree is BIG in fact this is almost as tall as a tree can get because at some point the xylem an phloem can’t pump nutrients into the super tall leaves so the withered away but maybe some Douglas firs (Pseudotsuga) could get bigger.
Like many plants they are evergreens meaning they’re leafs or in this case needles they green keeping their chlorophyll all year long so even in the winter they can photosynthesis.
what do they actually look like well Atlas Þə Biologist sees them as babies not like seedlings but as young at least. At that age they look like a fir (Abies) though 1 specimen what was pretty big.
