Ok so here i will write words i've used/created for this article:

  • ⲙⲁⲛϣⲱϣⲓ – "faculty", literally place of "academic field/area/category" (ϣⲟϣⲓ introduced by ⲁϩⲙⲉⲧ)
  • ⲙⲉⲧϣⲓ – "engineering" from ϣⲓ – measure
  • ⲙⲉⲧⲥⲱⲟⲩⲛ – "science"
  • ⲟⲩⲣ – "agriculture" from Demotic wr∞ "rural economy, agriculture"
  • ⲓⲉⲃⲫⲁϦⲣⲓ – "pharmacy", literally "art of drugs"
  • ϫⲓⲛϣⲁⲛϣ `ⲛϩⲁ ⲉⲛⲓϣⲉⲥϩⲓⲙⲓ – "PE for girls", literally "body education", ϣⲉⲥϩⲓⲙⲓ – literally "female child"
  • ϫⲓⲛϣⲁⲛϣ `ⲛϩⲁ ⲉⲛⲓϣⲉϩⲱⲟⲩⲧ "PE for boys", ϣⲉϩⲱⲟⲩⲧ – literally "male child"
  • ⲛⲓⲓⲟⲡⲏ `ⲛⲥⲁⲓⲉ – "fine arts"
  • ⲓⲉⲃⲛⲁϫϩⲓ – "dentistry", lit. "teeth craft"
  • ⲙⲉⲧⲥⲉⲛϯ – "institute"
  • ⲛⲓϫⲓⲛϫⲉⲣ `ⲛϣⲏⲙϣⲏⲙ – "graduate studies", ϣⲏⲙϣⲏⲙ – gradually
  • ⲙⲉⲧⲥⲏⲓⲛⲓ `ⲛⲧⲉⲃⲛⲏ – "veterinary medicine"
  • ⲙⲉⲧϣⲓⲛⲓ – "research"
  • ⲙⲉⲧⲙⲟϣⲓ – "tourism", ⲁϩⲙⲉⲧ proposed to use this for "evolution" so maybe we have to think of another word
  • ⲫⲟⲛⲧⲟⲕ – "hotel", from Arabic فندق, which itself is from Greek πανδοκεῖον, but maybe we better just use ⲟⲑⲉⲗ here, i'm not sure
  • ϫⲓⲛϣⲁⲛϣ `ⲛⲓⲟⲡⲥ – "specific education", ⲓⲟⲡⲥ is from Demotic wp-s.t "specification", i'm not sure it's right though
  • ϭⲱⲙ `ⲛϦⲣⲟϯ – "kindergarten"

Nice, sounds good to me! There are only three words where I would suggest another word. For tourism, we could use ⲁⲡⲟⲇⲏⲙⲓⲁ which is from Greek but used in Coptic sources. For agriculture, we could use ⲙⲉⲧϯⲟⲩⲱ, with ϯⲟⲩⲱ meaning to blossom, or to bring forth. ⲟⲩⲱ 'bud, blossom' is less used in Bohairic, so we could take it for agriculture. The problem with Demotic wr is that it is not sure if it actually means 'agriculture' or rather 'bean' (there is a debate going on, with a tendency to 'bean, cowpea'). ⲟⲩⲣⲱ which is fro

m wr3 (to which wr∞ is said to be connected) definitely means bean. For hotel, we could take ⲁⲛϣⲉⲙⲙⲟ, lit. stranger house, parallel to ⲁⲛⲍⲏⲃ house of teaching = school. ⲁ is the atonic version of ⲏⲓ house, ϣⲉⲙⲙⲟ means stranger. Note that Egyptians placed the genitive particle ⲛ here, which is interesting. If there wouldnt be the example of ⲁⲛⲍⲏⲃ, ⲁϣⲉⲙⲙⲟ would look far more expectable to me. It is probably because ⲁⲛⲍⲏⲃ is a very recent variant. (maybe a "vulgar" variant getting dominant in Demotic) In any case, I thought we could stick to this form and use ⲁⲛ- ⲁϩⲙⲉⲧ (talk) 23:20, 26 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for additions! Makes perfect sense, i will change them. ⲥⲉⲣⲕⲓ (talk) 19:05, 27 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
