I am a administrator of Surzhyk test Wikipedia and i would like to give administrators rights to Mikolasz, because he is a native speaker of a language (i am not one). --Dmitry Nikitin 14:25, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not done There is already a test administrator. And no reaction on a question. SPQRobin 14:15, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Jeroenkon has asked me to become test-admin for the Aeres testwikipedia if we had 50 articles. Because we have 50 articles now and I've promised to place a request I'll do that. I have made about one third of all the edits of the test-Wikipedia. -Markvondeegel 14:09, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's almost 10 days ago since he started, when does he become testadministrator?? Petrolov 07:41, 25 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ehm... There are 4 admins, 3 of them are bureaucrat. I am the most active, but I am the one who is not a bureacrat. So: I want to do it but I can't :-( SPQRobin 20:06, 26 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  1. Comment - newly registered user without contributions - ruwiki can make hundreds of such "votes". --Yaroslav Zolotaryov 19:15, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It's meta project. I have no contributions, because there is nothing to contribute (you, of course, are developing another nonsence here) --VasilievVV 19:20, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No, Incubator is not Metapedia, so arguments like "I do not like this user" should not be taken into account, especially when you do not write in this project. --Yaroslav Zolotaryov 19:24, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  3. Oppose. Adminship will be used for POV-pushing. In Russian Wikipedia, there is is an actual arbitration case, where plaintiffs, respectful admins at most, request to block him infinitely because of multiple rules violation. --Obersachse 19:35, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
But in Siberian wikipedia I am bureaucrat and administrator. Everybody may know from Meta about this war betwen the ruwiki and sibwiki - so the relationships between this wikies are irrelevant to this voting. Actually all the three votes "Oppose" voted also against the creation of this wiki in Meta - but this Incubator discussion is not the place to discuss should this wiki be opened or not. You are against this project in general so you want that it would be no reasonable admins there - but if opposers to this porject vote against me, this is another good argument to elect me - even opposition testifies that I will serve to this project correctly. --Yaroslav Zolotaryov 19:43, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
There were violations in ruwiki. Can you guarantee, that there won't be violations in ru-lat? What about ru-sib? You are founder and bureaucrat. What have You done against POV-pushing, nonsense-articles and vandalism in the wiki, where You are responsible? Sorry, but I can't trust you. --Obersachse 23:52, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
In my opinion, it were no violations in ruwiki, but I was sometimes blocked just because of this flame war between Russian and Siberian Wikipedias, and part of this war is the flashmob which can be seen below. I every day fight with vandalism in sibwiki, actually you can see sibwiki users like Ottorahn voting for me above. But Russian wikipedia is known by it's intolerance to the Siberian language - even the interwikies to ru-sib are prohibited in ruwiki because of this intolerance. Even now you are leader of persons, who try fill the page by words "oppose" from newly created accounts. Surely, this is this ruwiki show which can not be trusted. Besides of that, this is not the place we somebody decides should ru=lat be tested or not. If it is being tested, it should have an admin, I am the proposer, ru-lat community has consensus about me, so everything is simply --Yaroslav Zolotaryov 00:00, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vote from newly created account after announcement in ruwiki, wote by user, who voted against the ru-lat test. --Yaroslav Zolotaryov 23:23, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
So what? I'm free to express my opinion, ain't I? Or you cannot tolerate anyone who doesn't share your point of view? How are you going to be an admin then? --Volkov 23:35, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Attempts to organize a flame discussion from the user with newly created account, combined with unproved accusations. --Yaroslav Zolotaryov 23:37, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  8. Oppose - The candidate is prone to POV-pushing in the ru and ru-sib Wikipedia editions (abusing the admin/bureaucrat status in the ru-sib to push his own POV); and to pursuing personal attacks against Wikipedians in Wikimedia projects talk pages and on non-Wikimedia web resources. A few vandalism cases were also noticed in the ru edition. --BeautifulFlying 23:22, 9 August 2007 (UTC) (please see #Comment. SPQRobin 00:35, 10 August 2007 (UTC))[reply]

Just wonder why bother to place the same comment to every vote? There are many voters from ru-wiki because you are well-known there. People who just created accounts here to prove their identity are contributors not only to ru-wiki but also to many other wikimedia projects. --Volkov 00:02, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
But they are new in incubator and have came after an announcement. It is well known that ruwiki in it's majority (I mean users who usually participate in votings) is against ru-lat, so all this votes are actually the attempt to stop the test by all means. --Yaroslav Zolotaryov 00:05, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
    Well known where? What majority? :) --BeautifulFlying 00:07, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Just see in Meta the page of voting about ru-lat - almost the same persons vote against ru-lat, who came here after the announcement. This makes evident that they actually want to stop the test by destroying of admin elections. --Yaroslav Zolotaryov 00:13, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Comment

Actually, all votes count, but in this case I've striked out the votes from newly created accounts after an announcement in ruwiki. Those users have nothing to do with the incubator. And even the reason they give have nothing to do with Incubator. And he is already been a test administrator, see the archive. SPQRobin 00:35, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actually the first 4 votes "Oppose" were from the newly created account without contributions too, you can check this. All the votes "Oppose" are from newbies. If some announcement for newbies will be made in the top pf this vote, I will help with translation to the Russian language. --Yaroslav Zolotaryov 00:41, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh no, Pauk had some contribs, but I doubt that the vote with argumentation "He is fascist and Nazist" is good vote:-)) --Yaroslav Zolotaryov 00:42, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

So this is [3] how the policy changes in Incubator? Wow! --BeautifulFlying 00:46, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The most important rule on all Wikimedia projects is: Ignore all rules. So I was just thinking not POV, but point of Incubator, i.e. what is the best for Incubator? SPQRobin 00:51, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Actually the users were alerted that it will not be counted. I think everything is very simple - the test is big, somebody should protect him, so you are completely right. --Yaroslav Zolotaryov 00:54, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The real policy is - this is not voting at all, the votes are not counted, but bureaucrat make decision. It was written before you begin to vote. So this is bureaucrat's business, what votes will he strike out and what will not. --Yaroslav Zolotaryov 00:52, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Just read - The requests below are not votes. --Yaroslav Zolotaryov 00:55, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I also read, Other users are given five days to place comments - that's what we the other users did. Now the comments are striken out. But, sure, ignore all rules. Whatever. --BeautifulFlying 00:58, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
But to flood the page with stereotipical comments from new accounts is absurd. Besides of that, people without contributions are not real users (contributors). If somebody will register 10000000 accounts and fill the page with words "ZOLOTRAYOV AND WARBURG ARE FASCISTS" - should the administration read all this or make something? --Yaroslav Zolotaryov 01:01, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
If have removed my lines I added, now there is just a link to this #Comment. Otherwise this whole section is messed up. SPQRobin 01:07, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Just FYI, newbie on incubator doesn't mean 'no contributions' at all. Cf. mine [4]. The same applies to the majority of voters. --Volkov 07:37, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. --BeautifulFlying 01:08, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Can you convince your friends from ruwiki do not create many accounts just for "vote" here? Actually their POV is already represented. Just to minimize our work of explaining to them that this is not voting. --Yaroslav Zolotaryov 01:11, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Ok let us hope that it will prevent further filling of this page with things irrelevant to the Incubator. --Yaroslav Zolotaryov 01:09, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
So: Discussion closed. To all voters: do something constructive instead of useless voting. As with the policy: After five days, a bureacrat (me probably?) will look at this. Thank you. SPQRobin 01:18, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Decision
  • Support arguments:
    • He is already been a test administrator (experience, trusted user, etc)
    • Proposer of the Latin Russian test language.
  • Oppose arguments:
    • Using his test adminship for POV-pushing etc
      • What has this to do with this test adminship?
      • Those people who give this argument are not serious: User:Pauk accused User:MF-Warburg as a fascist after MF-Warburg blocked him, because of a personal attack
      • They think it is for adminship: When VasilievVV had seen the difference, he had withdrawn his vote.

The quantity (all those opposes after a message at the Russian Wikipedia) doesn't count, it is which arguments there are. After some thoughts, I have decided that User:Yaroslav Zolotaryov will be a test administrator. SPQRobin 12:14, 12 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, mr Robin. I was just fearing that some of them will not only flashmobbing but also vandalizing and it will be a big trouble for admins who do not understand Russian. --Yaroslav Zolotaryov 12:20, 12 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Can i want that user:Markvondeegel to become also admin on Wp/art-da?

Support i support; he is good admin to be ever.

He is already an admin. SPQRobin 16:26, 12 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

But not at Wp/art-da
doesnt matter, sysop is sysop. he can also delete wp/art-da and block you etc. MF-Warburg 18:35, 12 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
But I see where his confusion came up. Markvondeegel is a regular sysop, not a test administrator. Therefore, he can use his powers all over the wiki as opposed to the normal test-administrators who can only use it in one test. Cbrown1023 talk 17:57, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Currently there are 46 pages but after 5 days there will be more than 50 pages. There's a test-administrator needed to keep control on the test WikiQuote. Untill now I have been the only active user at the project. But I expect that the original proposer (User:Hojeraop) comes to edit too. I have no (test-)administrators expirience untill now. --Ooswesthoesbes 09:34, 11 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to request a test adminship. I am currently developing the Bikol Wiki together with user Filipinayzd. At present, there are nearly 200 articles in this wiki after just one month in the Incubator. We are both working hard to translate the interface messages and are nearly halfway to completion. An adminship would be helpful in making the project more efficient. Thank you for your support. --Steven*fung 22:15, 3 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Steven*fung has made substantial contributions to the development of the Bikol Incubator project. --Jose77 03:37, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I would support this, but Filipinazyd is test admin for Bikol test-wiki yet and actually one test sysop is enough (isn't it even policy that there should be only test sysop?). MF-Warburg 11:15, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I was thinking this, but didn't want to get into it unless another suggested it too. :-) The relevant quip is "You can be a test admin for more than one test; however, it is unlikely that there will be more than one admin allowed for each test." It seems to be more of a guideline than a policy, can Steven*fung explain why he feels another sysop is necessary? Cbrown1023 talk 00:20, 5 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Two heads are better than one :) We won't spoil the broth. --Filipinayzd 11:45, 5 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I wasn't actually aware of this. However, if it isn't set in stone and is more of a guideline than a "law", it would be good to have two admins as we are both working from 8 time zones away (I'm in London and Filipinayzd is in the Philippines) and the new wiki would greatly benefit from the 24/7 monitoring that our adminship would provide. We are both fully committed to this test project and a twin adminship would consolidate our efforts in making this a truly successful wiki (currently, already 200 articles and expanding...)So if no one has any overwhelming objections, there's no reason why this shouldn't work. But whatever you decide, I will continue to support Filipinazyd 100%. I'm sorry if I caused any confusion. --Steven*fung 01:02, 5 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

OK, that is not policy, but could any other test contributors point out their opinion? MF-Warburg 05:55, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Done, I made Steven*fung now test admin because there were no opposes. (I did that yesterday yet, but afterwards my computer crashed :-(. I also know that it was too early, but 3 hours sooner or later...) --MF-Warburg 09:13, 8 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to have testadminship for wp/mcq and wt/mcq because I think we can use it there. The test now has 50 pages and more than 1 contributor: User:Wikjba'cakp', User:SF-Language, User:Adeiqha and User:El Moccidaq. Wikjba'cakp' 09:12, 8 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

which two languages? MF-W admin, bureaucrat 12:26, 8 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Please take a look at the mainpage (wp/mcq) it's splitted in two. There are two languages who share mcq. -Markvondeegel 12:29, 8 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ehm... Already created, maybe? --Ooswesthoesbes 16:09, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I can't see the protect and delete buttons.. --Filipinayzd 17:41, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Ow, I misunderstood. I can't see those buttons on the Limburgish Wikiquote either. Somewhere on meta a request has been made, so you will get temporary adminship on Bikol Wikipedia, I don't know when you get it and when they'll take it away. It's good to make a new request for your adminship on Bikol Wikipedia. --Ooswesthoesbes 18:30, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I've asked at Meta, but they haven't done it yet... I will wake up the stewards to look at the request :-) SPQRobin 18:31, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I couldn't wake them up :-) SPQRobin 14:21, 28 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I will make a request when the test becomes active. --Filipinayzd 19:09, 29 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Since this is more fair. I'm already test-admin, but want to stay so. I'm contributor to all five projects above and speak all languages. Wt/loz has 100 pages. --Ooswesthoesbes 16:11, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
