Eclipse ရေ ကွန်ပျူတာ ပရိုဂရမ်တိ ရီးသားရာတွင် အသုံးပြုရေ IDE တစ်ခု ဖြစ်ရေ။ Java ပရိုဂရမ်းမင်း ဘာသာစကားကို ရီးသားရန်အတွက်မူ ကျယ်ပြန့်စွာ အသုံးပြုကတ်ရေ။ ၎င်းတွင် workspace တစ်ခုနန့် ထပ်မံတိုးချဲ့နိုင်ရေ plug-in တစ်ခုပါဝင်ရေ။ Java ဘာသာစကားအဓိက ရီးသားကြကေလည်း အခြားဘာသာစကားတိကိုလည်း plug-in အသုံးပြုကာ ၎င်းတွင် ရီးသားနိုင်လီရေ။ ၎င်းဘာသာစကားရို့မှာ Ada, ABAP, C, C++, COBOL, D, Fortran, Haskell, JavaScript, Julia,[6]Lasso, Lua, NATURAL, Perl, PHP, Prolog, Python, R, Ruby (including Ruby on Rails framework), Rust, Scala, Clojure, Groovy, Scheme, and Erlang ရို့ ဖြစ်ကတ်ရေ။

၂၀၀၆ ခုနှစ်ကတည်းက ဖောင်ဒေးသျှင်ရေ ဆက်တိုက်ထုတ်ဝီခရေ။[8] ထုတ်ဝီမှုတစ်ခုစီတိုင်းတွင် Eclipse Platform နန့် အခြားအမျိုးမျိုးရေ Eclipse projects တိ ပါဝင်ရေ။

  1. ↑ There is a 3.8 release of Eclipse Juno; it is not promoted on the main downloads page, but a packaged distribution is available for download.[18] Eclipse 3.8 provides bugfixes for Indigo & adds Java 7 support, and its maintenance was dual streamed with 4.2.[19] Features and plug-ins equivalent to a packaged distribution may be added from within the IDE.
