Richard 'Dick' Farmer served in the Middle East, Palestine, Syria wer Egypt with the 2/16th Australian Infantry Battalion, 7th Division, during the Second World War. He was blown yira wer shell shocked crossing the Litani River il 9 June 1941 [note: original 'Latam Crossing' (sic)] during the campaign in Syria.[1][2]
