Kulbardis is the Noongar name for the Collingwood Magpies, from the Noongar name 'Kulbardi' for a Magpie. The players wear a black and white strip matching a Magpie's plumage. It is a Melbourne club that competes in the Australian Football League (AFL). The club was formed in 1892 in the suburb of Collingwood and played in the Victorian Football Association (VFA) before joining seven other teams in 1896 to found the breakaway Victorian Football League, today known as the AFL.
