Wp/brx/विकिपेदिया:दिनैनि आबुं फारि/थिसनथाइ
दिनैनि आबुं जाखांनाय फारि थिसनथाइ Lists suggested here must be featured lists that have not previously appeared on the main page. Today's featured list launched in June 2011, initially on each Monday. In January 2014 it was agreed to expand to appear twice a week. The lists will be selected by the FL director, based on the consensus of the community. To submit a list for main page consideration, you simply need to draft a short summary of the list, in approximately 1000 characters, along with a relevant image from the list itself, using the template provided below. Should you need any assistance using the template, feel free to ask for help on the talk page. If you are nominating a list submitted by someone else, consider notifying the significant contributor(s) with The community will review submissions, and suggest improvements where appropriate. If a blurb receives broad support, and there are no actionable objections, one of the directors will confirm that it has been accepted for main page submission. Please note there should be no more than fifteen nominations listed here at any one time. In rare circumstances, the directors reserve the right to exclude a list from main page consideration, a practice consistent with other main page sections such as Today's featured article and Picture of the day. Should this ever happen, a detailed explanation will be given. |

[edit | edit source]- Comment: Will this go with a red-link on main page? §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {Talk / Edits} 09:56, 23 August 2016 (UTC)
- Is there a rule against it? --Jakob (talk) aka Jakec 13:30, 23 August 2016 (UTC)
- I'm not sure about any rules for it, but we're only supposed to have red links if the target is notable enough for an article. If it is notable enough, it would be worth having at least a stub to link to. – SchroCat (talk) 14:08, 23 August 2016 (UTC)
- It's notable.--3family6 (Talk to me | See what I have done) 14:51, 3 November 2016 (UTC)
- My preference would be to avoid having the red link in the blurb, but I can't think of any precedent here or at TFA. Given that the topic appears notable according to 3family6, it should be possible to create a bare-bones article at minimum, which would make the point moot. - Comment – Would it be possible to trim a couple lines from the blurb? It's very large, and we don't want the TFL to be this much larger than a typical TFA if we can help it. Perhaps try removing some of the background at the start, or one or two of the less notable awards. Also, we try to keep the blurbs to a single paragraph; shortening the blurb should help fix this as well. Giants2008 (Talk) 15:11, 15 October 2016 (UTC)
- I've done some cutting. How does it look now?--3family6 (Talk to me | See what I have done) 04:14, 19 October 2016 (UTC)
- The length is much better. The date of birth isn't really necessary in the blurb (I typically only see them in TFA bio article blurbs), so that could be cut as well. Giants2008 (Talk) 18:49, 30 October 2016 (UTC)

- I'm going to say the same thing I posted for another blurb above: this is overly long for what usually runs at TFL. I don't think I've even seen a TFA this long. Try trimming two or three lines from the blurb to make this a more typical size. Also, I recommend moving the sentence with the bolded sentence to the front. In the past, I've seen worthy TFLs get few page views, which may have been because the article's link wasn't at the front of the blurb. This is a worthy topic, and I'd hate to see the more general non-bolded articles receive all of the reader attention. Giants2008 (Talk) 21:39, 31 October 2016 (UTC)

- I can't confirm anything because other editors may bring up issues, but I consider my concern resolved. Giants2008 (Talk) 16:06, 6 November 2016 (UTC)

- Comment – It looks like there's a missing parenthesis by the end of the first Tinkoff mention. Also, I see no space between "race" and "The final stage in Paris". Let's get those bugs fixed before this goes on the Main Page. Giants2008 (Talk) 16:12, 6 November 2016 (UTC)
