From Wikimedia Incubator

Greetings RonaldPanaligan!

Nice to meet you.

I have supported the Application for the creation of Kinaray-a Wikipedia Here.

(However, according to the wikipedia's "Language proposal policy", there ought to be sufficient number (ie. 5+ native speakers) of interested editors to form a viable community).

Anyway, Keep up the good work! --Jose77 05:42, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Kurów on KRJ language[edit source]

Could you please write a stub Test-wp/krj/Kurów - just a few sentences based on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kur%C3%B3w ? Only 2-5 sentences enough. Please.

PS. Article about Kurów is already on 143 languages. If you do that, please put interwiki link into English version. If your village/town/city hasn't on PL wiki, I can do article about it. Pietras1988 15:57, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

Very thx. You are great! Pietras1988 18:57, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Good News![edit source]

Thank you to the Kinaray community; the Kinaray Wikipedia is only one step away from creation. Before the wiki can be created, we need to translate the main interface messages. This page will serve as a place for centralized discussion and coordination, while the actual translation will be on the BetaWiki (see BetaWiki instructions and a full list of Kinaray-a interface messages). If you have any problems, comments, suggestions, or questions, feel free to post below and we will be sure they are addressed.

While it would be even better to translate the entire interface, some of it isn't very important and can be translated later. If you see any messages you think don't need to be translated, feel free to mention them here.

The following messages don't need translation before final approval (although you are free to translate them anyway). The * symbol followed by a number means that several messages beginning with that are unneeded. For example, unlock* (6) means that six messages with names starting with "unlock" (unlockdb, unlockdbtext, unlockconfirm, unlockbtn, unlockdbsuccesssub, and unlockdbsuccesstext) are unneeded.

  • common* (2)
  • edittools
  • exif-* (273)
  • export* (7)
  • feed* (2)
  • import* (27)
  • lock* (8)
  • mainpagedocfooter
  • mainpagetext
  • metadata* (6)
  • monobook* (2)
  • pagetitle
  • unlock* (6)

I can't emphasize this enough: if you have any problems, comments, suggestions, or questions, feel free to post below and we will be sure they are addressed. There's no reason for anyone to be confused or uncertain if we can help it. :) --Jose77 10:17, 30 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I will shorten the above message and write it in a more simplified way. The Kinaray-a test-project will qualify to become a real wikipedia when the interface messages on BetaWiki have been translated into Kinaray-a. Here are the steps to do so:
  • Step 1: Log-in to BetaWiki.
  • Step 2: Join the Translators group to enable you to translate the interface messages. (This could be achieved by requesting User:Dundak or User:Pathoschild to grant you membership).
  • Step 3: Begin translating all of the messages into Kinaray-a (except for the ones mentioned above which are not compulsory).
  • Step 4: Once the translation is completed, the Wikimedia Board of Trustees will approve the Kinaray-a project and set a date for the Wiki to be created.

Regards, --Jose77 10:28, 30 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You have now become a member of the Translators group. Now you can begin translating this full list of Kinaray-a interface messages into Kinaray-a. Good luck! --Jose77 22:39, 13 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Corrected link to Kinaray-a Interface Messages[edit source]

Just a minor correction. Here is the corrected link to the list of interface messages to be translated into Kinaray-a. Kinaray-a's ISO code is krj not kry --Harvzsf 02:12, 3 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Krj Wikipedia[edit source]

Hi RonaldPanaligan,

User:Jon Harald Søby is the person in charge of approving the test-projects so you can discuss with him concerning this interface issue. --Jose77 21:56, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Translating the interface on Kinaray-a[edit source]

Hi Ronald,

Thanks for working on the translation for Kinaray-a. Regarding the message you left in my talk page, I'd just like the say the following comment. I think though that there is no harm trying to translate as much of the interface as possible. So keep up the good work. If the translation of the interface is completed, it would speed up the creation of the Kinaray-a Wikipedia. --Harvzsf 05:06, 11 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

message from translatewiki.net[edit source]

Greetings from translatewiki.net where you are registered as a translator for the language Kinaray-a (see http://translatewiki.net/wiki/Portal:Krj). It appears that no translators for this language have made any translations during the past year, so we write to remind you about us. We hope that you can find time and opportunity to make some contributions to this language and/or find some others who could help to translate, perhaps starting with the 500 most used messages in Mediawiki at http://translatewiki.net/w/i.php?title=Special:Translate&task=reviewall&group=core-0-mostused&language=krj.

Find out about all the latest projects which use translatewiki.net for localisation at http://translatewiki.net/wiki/Main_Page. Read the introduction to translating at http://translatewiki.net/wiki/Web_interface. If you have any questions on how to use translatewiki.net please ask at Support http://translatewiki.net/wiki/Support, or try asking in another language (for example Russian, Arabic, Hindi) on the talk page of that language.

With best wishes. Lloffiwr 11:59, 15 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
