Hallo und willkommen hier! :-) I see you are contributing to the multilingual Wiktionary, however this project is unlikely to be approved. I am now developing an independent project that is created only for the purpose of a dictionary, and is therefore far more efficient. So if you are interested, everyone is welcome. Danke, SPQRobin 21:03, 1 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hallo auch! :-) Thanks for the welcome and the information. I just read that it's gonna be decided and I thought it'll be probably positive 'cause it's a good idea. Have people fear that the other wiktionaries gonna bleed out with this project? This multi-work in x wiktionaries isn't that much effective, ain't it? And I don't think little wiktionaries have much of a chance to get bigger (even without this project).
I took a look at your other project. Why only EU-languages? I'm missing very much the world languages Esperanto, Ido and Volapük but also one of my favorites: Norvegian. Also there aren't other world languages like Chinese, Arabic or Indian, no RTL-language either. Is this planned in the next future? And why build a new project when it's not even decided if this project's gonna be supported further? Wouldn't it be better to wait for the decision first? Viele Grüße, multajn salutojn --Geitost 21:45, 1 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
Well, I'm also in the language committee, which decides which projects get approved. Currently the topic of multilingual proposals, such as Wiktionary or others, has come up, and it's been decided that those projects need to be discussed by the community, which means effectively: a lot of discussion, but no decisions. Most of the people agree that it isn't effective to work on many wiktionaries, but it'll take ages, if at all, before there is a multilingual Wiktionary hosted by the WMF. Meanwhile, there's OmegaWiki which is good but faces some problems I would like to work on in my project.
About my project, I do want to support all languages in the world (of course!), but the project is in the beginning phase and I am working to make a good basis from where I can add more languages. SPQRobin 18:28, 2 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
