Vinod Tiwari is a software evangelist, right to information and consumer right activist. He is founder of JBoss User Group Delhi, Member - Product Advisory Council, Mcafee and Member, McKinsey Executive Panel.
He has been a Child Jury at 11th International Children Film Festival 1999 and participated in Republic Day Parade, 1996 and at Nationl School Games, 1996. He is an NTSE scholar and represented his school at Mathematics Olympiad.
He is alumnus of Sainik School Rewa and holds National Cadets Corps's 'A' Certificate (Air Wing). He also runs a volunteer group that is working towards providing free and quality education to deprived section of society. Tiwari is member of British Computer Society and India Product Management Association.
He contributes regularly to various Wikimedia projects and have created more than 150 articles and contributed more than 275 photographs Wikimedia commons. He wishes to contribute more to other Wikimedia projects especially Hindi Wikipedia.
