This is the page to request that an existing language test on Incubator receive an official Wikimedia domain name.

Procedure

1. List the test below, using the template format.
2. Notify users of the test about this request.
3. A vote will be held here about whether the test is ready to be moved.
4. The vote will last two weeks.
5. If more than 50% of voters are in favour, and a minimum of 10 votes is reached, developers will be notified. For a majority less than 75% the Foundation will also have to approve the project.
6. A domain will be created for the language or project by the developers.
7. Content will be moved, using the transwiki process, into the namespace.
8. Once all content has been moved, the test here will be deleted by a bot.

• Prefix: For example, wp/en/
• Proposed Domain: The domain you propose for the project or language
• Date set up: The date the test was set up
• Number of Pages: Number of pages on test
• Number of Users: Number of active users on test
• Comments: Any additional comments
• Date: Date this request was made

FAQ

• Q: How long should the test have gone on before a request here is made?

• A: There is no strict limit, although it is advisable to wait at least two weeks. Tests will be judged on how ready they are to be moved into a full domain.
