Bodoland or Boroland, is a demand for seperate state of largest ethnolinguistic group in Assam state of India, known as the Bodos or Boros. The bodo people are early settlers of Assam in the North-East of India. ABSU(All Bodo Students Union) led by leader Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma submitted a memorandum to the Central Government on 22nd January 1987 demanding for a separate state 'Bodoland'
