The machine was purchased by Sigurd Bjørtvedt in 1939 and brought to Norway, two months before the outbreak of the World War II. Image from the Sjøllingstad Wool Products Factory (Sjøllingstad Uldvarefabrik), the original purchasing factory. The loom produces the characteristic Sjøllingstad woolen 'bird fabric'. This is a living museum factory which ran commercial production from the 1890s till the 1980s. Mandal / Lindesnes municipality, Vest-Agder county, Norway.
