Mrs. Amina Muluthu, from Nandiga village south of the Makonde Plateau, in Muidumbe district in northern Mozambique. The local name of the undescribed Aloe species is "Tchiraru" (this name refers to the disease it is used for - testicular elephantiasis). She helps her half-sister (Pascoalina Muluthu, 82 years old, a traditional healer) with harvesting medicinal plants.
