Babanginy (Lightning[1] in English) is the Noongar nickname for the Port Adelaide Football Club or 'the Power'. For many years Babanginy had the Noongar nickname Kulbardis (Magpies) as the players wore a black and white strip matching kulbardi's plumage. The reserve team still has the nickname Kulbardis and wears a black and white strip.

Founded in 1870, Port Adelaide is the oldest professional football club in South Australia and is the dominant club in South Australia.
