Readily available translations, licence[edit source]

@Minorax: The GNU license part (T:2 and T:4) is already translated on Translatewiki for most languages: MediaWiki:Wm-license-gfdl-1.2-and-later. Consider replacing the text with the message.

Also, looking at our Terms of Use (7. a.), it seems that we should mention CC-BY-SA 3.0 as well. - Xbspiro (talk) 10:39, 1 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Xbspiro: Did some changes to T:4 and am considering to replace it with a new translation unit. As for T:2, would you mind editing it at /temp as I'm unsure on how to do it. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 11:35, 1 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Minorax: I would try {{MediaWiki:Wm-license-gfdl-1.2-and-later/{{PAGELANGUAGE}}}}. The extension seems to set the page language for translated pages automatically. - Xbspiro (talk) 01:42, 2 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Xbspiro: Done. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 02:32, 2 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Minorax: Thanks. One last thing: T:3 is now not needed, as the MediaWiki message contains that line already. - Xbspiro (talk) 03:03, 2 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Minorax: The "Save page" label could be replaced with {{int:Savearticle}}. - Xbspiro (talk) 04:11, 15 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Clarify dual-licensing[edit source]

This page mentions CC BY-SA 3.0, but it is somewhat buried in the text, especially compared to the bold GFDL text. The info about our CC licensing should be made more obvious (say, as a new paragraph, or using bold text). Also, as mentioned at Incubator:Community Portal#Licensing issue, some content here is not actually licenced CC BY-SA, and that should be ackowledged and briefly explained here. - dcljr (talk) 02:47, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
