Français : Scène de la prédication du Buddha. Kucha, Duldur-aqur, sanctuaire du nord-est. Xinjiang. Peinture murale, début du VIe siècle. Musée national des arts asiatiques - Guimet, Paris. Mission Paul Peillot 1906-1909. « Le relèvement allongé de la courbe des paupières donne au visage féminin, sous sa riche coiffure emperlée, une note d'exotisme et un caractère individualisé renforcés par la découpe carrée de la chevelure sur le front, ce qui est assez inhabituel à cette époque. Son bras prend appui d'un geste naturel sur son compagnon, paré aussi de riches bijoux et d'une coiffure à boucles bleues qui encadre son visage et descend sur les épaules comme une perruque. Le traitement minutieux des détails , les couleurs se réfèrent au style I de Kyzyl. » "L'Asie centrale : histoire et civilisation" , ouvrage sous la direction de Louis Hambis (Collège de France), Imprimerie nationale. 1977.
