| Description |
English: The Parish of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary of the town of Bombon was formerly a missionary post attended by the Franciscan Friard stationed in Quipayo. It was created as an independent parish in 1804 under the protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary, our Lady of the Rosary, being its patroness. Fray Juan de la Torre, O.F.M., who was the first parish priest, started the construction of the church that was made of rubble. Fray Jose Ribaya, O.F.M., who also constructed the parish convent, later completed it . The most noted contribution of the parish throught out the years of its existence is the pastoral care extended to the members of the community. |
