United Nations is an international organization created to maintain and strengthen international peace and security, and to develop cooperation between states. The foundations of its activities and structure were developed during World War II by leading members of the anti-Hitler coalition.
The six official languages of the UN are: English, Arabic, Spanish, French, Chinese and Russian.
