কমতা ৰাজ্য ত্ৰয়োদশ শতিকাত পাল ৰাজবংশেৰ পতনেৰ পাছত পুৰাণা কামৰূপ ৰাজ্যৰ পশ্চিম অংশত গঠিত হয়।^[1] কমতা ৰাজ্যৰ উত্থানেৰ লগে লগে অসম বুৰঞ্জীৰ প্ৰাচীন যুগ শেষ হয় আৰ্ মধ্য যুগ আৰম্ভ হয়।
