जेम्स क्लार्क मैक्सवेल

विद्युच्चुम्बकत्वके क्षेत्रमे मैक्सवेलके समीकरण चार समीकरणके एक समूह हे जे वैद्युत क्षेत्र, चुम्बकीय क्षेत्र, वैद्युत आवेश, एवं विद्युत प्रवाहके अन्तर्सम्बधके गणितीय व्याख्या करहे । ईसब समीकरण बरिस १८६१ मे जेम्स क्लार्क मैक्सवेलके शोधपत्रमे छपल हल, जेकर शीर्षक हल - ऑन फिजिकल लाइन्स ऑफ फोर्स ।

मैक्सवेलके समीकरणके आधुनिक स्वरूप निम्नवत हे -

फैराडेके प्रेरणके नियम	${\vec {\nabla }}\times {\vec {E}}=-{\frac {\partial {\vec {B}}}{\partial t}}$	$\oint _{C}{\vec {E}}\cdot d{\vec {l}}=-\ {d \over dt}\int _{S}{\vec {B}}\cdot d{\vec {s}}$
एम्पियरके नियम मैक्सवेल द्वारा एकरामे विस्थापन धारा (displacement current) के समावेशके साथे	${\vec {\nabla }}\times {\vec {B}}=\mu _{0}{\vec {J}}+\mu _{0}\varepsilon _{0}{\frac {\partial {\vec {E}}}{\partial t}}$	$\oint _{C}{\vec {B}}\cdot d{\vec {l}}=\mu _{0}\int _{S}{\vec {J}}\cdot d{\vec {s}}+\mu _{0}\varepsilon _{0}{\frac {d}{dt}}\int _{S}{\vec {E}}\cdot d{\vec {s}}$
