Berekum East Municipal be one of de twelve districts for Bono Region wey dey Ghana.[1] Originally na edey part of de den bollar Berekum District for 10 March 1989, wey dem creat am from de former Berekum-Jaman District Council.[2] Ebe later wey dem upgrade am go municipal assembly status wey dem rename am as Berekum Municipal District for 29 February 2008; de western part for de municipal wey dem split am off go create Berekum West District for 15 March 2018; thus de remain part wey dem rename am as Berekum East Municipal Assembly. De municipality dey for de western part for Bono Region den Berekum as ein capital town.[3]
