Atiwa East District be one of de thirty-three districts wey dey Eastern Region for Ghana insyd.^[1]^[2]^[3]^[4]^[5] Originally na ebe formerly part of de den-larger East Akim District for 17 February 2004 insyd, wey dem create from de former East Akim District Council, till dem split off de eastern part of de district wey dem create Atiwa East District for 1 June 2018 insyd; wey dem rename de remaining part as Atiwa West District. De district assembly dey de central part of Eastern Region wey Anyinam be ein capital town.
