Today, 24th of August 2025, Ukraine celebrates 34th anniversary of regaining independence from Soviet Union. Here we collected information about the events happened/organised that day:
• 34-meter flag of Ukraine unfurled in Odessa. By tradition, the length of the flag each year is equal to the number of years of Ukraine's independence, so it becomes longer. After the event, the participants held a patriotic car rally. [1]
•Kit Kellogg visited Ukraine to take part in celebrations.
• Merz and Nauseda congratulated Ukrainians in Ukrainian. "Dear President Zelenskyy, dear people of Ukraine, Happy Independence Day!" — wrote Nauseda in Ukrainian in X. Also he posted a short speech in Ukrainian.[2]
