This page describes policies for pages in the Cookbook. The policy changes over time to reflect the standards created by Cookbook contributors. For specific questions on contributing to the cookbook, see Cookbook:FAQ.
Pages needing work
[edit | edit source]Pages which need work should be tagged with the {{cookwork}} template (and they will appear in Category:Wb/syl/Cookbook pages needing work) or {{Working}}. When a recipe has been sufficiently improved, the template should be removed.
Redirects
[edit | edit source]Redirects can help ensure correct linking between pages in the Cookbook and prevent page duplication. It is acceptable to create new cookbook redirects for the following cases:
- Situations where a concept does not have its own page but exists as a subsection of another (e.g. Cookbook:Chocolate Chips → Cookbook:Chocolate#Forms);
- Situations where multiple names exist for the same concept.
All redirects in the cookbook should begin with the Cookbook: prefix.
