My full name is Adam Vercingetorix Stephen. I studied Mathematics, Theoretical Physics and French at the University of St. Andrews and completed a doctorate in Atmospheric Physics and Nonlinear Mathematics at the University of Oxford. Science and Engineering form my day job working in Nuclear Fusion Energy Research and Development. The shift from research to research and development in Fusion Energy has accelerated in the last 10 years. Our mission is now to design and build Fusion Power Plants. Hobbies include languages (mainly human - with an ambition to speak at least the 6 UN official languages tolerably well, but also programming), music, and electronics. I have an ambition to write a book of anecdotes about my life in fusion one day. The working title is 'Tales from the Control Room'. I'm partly volunteering as a Wikipedia editor to hone my writing skills.
