Artur Dron (born 31 December 2000, village of Voskresintsi, Ivano-Frankivsk region, Ukraine) is Ukrainian writer and poet, formerly serviceman. Laureate of the Yuriy Shevelyov Prize for the book Hemingway Knows Nothing .

Biography

Artur Dron was born in the village of Voskresyntsi, Ivano-Frankivsk region, Ukraine. From the age of 5 he lived in the neighboring village of Pidmykhailivtsi. In 2017 he entered the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, where he studied journalism. Since then he has been living in Lviv. In 2021 he graduated with a bachelor's degree, and in 2022 with a master's degree.

Since 2021, he has been an event manager at the "Staryi Lev Publishing House".

Russian invasion of Ukraine

In 2022, with the beginning of the full-scale invasion , he volunteered for the 125th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Since August 2022, he has been performing tasks in the combat zone in the Donetsk and Kharkiv regions.

While at the front, Artur Dron continued to write poetry. In 2025, he was wounded and demobilized.[1].

His books have been translated into various languages ​​of the world, including Esperanto. Musician Viktor Morozov wrote a song based on the poem "Luka" by Artur Dron[2][3].
